A popular burgers-and-fries (or is it fries-and-burgers?) restaurant from Boise, Idaho is headed to Austin. The Boise Fry Company will open its first Texas location in the Edge Eleven retail center at 11005 Burnet Rd. in early 2015. The company said in a press release in September that this would be the first of several planned locations in the Austin market.
The Boise Fry Company opened in 2009 in Idaho serving grass-fed beef and bison burgers and a wide variety of potatoes and cuts of fries. At BFC, customers can choose from russet, purple, gold, sweet, and Okinawa potatoes or yams, and can have them cut into shoestring, regular, homestyle, or curly shapes, or something called po-balls. The fries come with the choice of several homemade seasonings, spritzers, and dipping sauces to coat your fries.
BFC co-founder Blake Lingle says in the Boise TV interview below that with expansion, the environmentally conscious restaurant would still focus on sourcing certain items from within a certain radius of the store’s location.
