Rum-centric Pleasant Storage Room in the Warehouse District closed abruptly in recent days, but it won’t stay shuttered long. Péché owner Rob Pate and his team will take over the space and plan to reopen it in March under the banner of Péché’s Old Kill Devil. The name, which is a nod to a 17th century moniker for rum, indicates the spirit at the heart of the space will not be leaving. The restaurant and bar plans to serve “island-inspired” food and rum drinks, not much of a change from PSR. Pate will oversee operations, with general manager Trey Jenkins curating and executive chef John Lichtenberger in the kitchen. Pate opened neighboring Péché in 2008.
