South Lamar is about to get a blast of Asian flavors in the coming days with the openings of Chi’Lantro and Ramen Tatsu-ya. The Korean-Mexican hybrid Chi’Lantro will open at 1509 S. Lamar Blvd. in the former A-OK Chinese space on January 19. The second location of Ramen Tatsu-ya opens January 25 at 1234 S. Lamar Blvd.
Chi’Lantro, which found food truck success with bulgogi tacos and kimchi fries, will be open Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The wildly popular Ramen Tatsu-ya will be open seven days a week from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. They plan to introduce lunch “soon.”
