Two highly acclaimed French chefs will create gourmet pop-up restaurants during South by Southwest, serving lunch and dinner from March 15-21 at the French Legation (802 San Marcos St.).
Chef Rémi Fournier of Chez Rémi in Angers, France will operate a temporary restaurant, where he will serve meals on March 15 and 18-20. Lunches cost $110 and dinners cost $160, including wine pairings, with sample menu items like chicken liver terrine and candied lamb shoulder.
Longtime French chef Gérard Bossé will host a pop-up spin-off of his Michelin-starred Angers restaurant Une Île. The chef will serve lunch ($150) and dinner ($200) on the 16th and 17th.
