Great news for those seeking some great Austin cooking during SXSW. Chef Ek Timrek is bringing his unique hybrid of Thai and American Southern food to the SXSW masses. Timrek’s Kin & Comfort, located in the food court of the Hana World Market in North Austin, will operate at 1211 E. Sixth St. next to fellow Asian food truck Kyoten.

The trailer will serve a menu that includes Hunglay pulled pork sandwich, a five-spice braised pork belly bun, Thai-spiced etouffee, and Tom Yum dirty rice.

Kin & Comfort’s trailer will be open daily through the end of SXSW, from noon to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to midnight.

For some backstory on Kin & Comfort, read my 2014 review here.
