The Domain will unveil Rock Rose later this year, a dedicated, three-block long entertainment district that will be home to a slew of popular locally owned dining and drinking spots, according to Statesman business reporters Shonda Novak and Gary Dinges. The businesses include a brick-and-mortar version of East Side King’s Thai-Kun, the third location of Salvation Pizza, and Lavaca Street Bar (and its underrated gem Turn N’ Surf Po Boy). New restaurants include Saint Genevieve, that plans to serve “exotic yet approachable” food like Mumbai fried chicken with tamarind chutney and pickled watermelon.

Bars include second iterations of West Sixth Street bars Kung Fu Saloon and the Dogwood, which will also serve food like chicken-and-waffle sliders; the British-inspired Jack & Ginger Celtic Alehouse and Kitchen; and coffee house Acres.

The Domain expects the first businesses to be open this fall, with rollout continuing until the middle of next year.
