Pachanga Fest does VIP a little bit different, and it’s a tasty change of pace. Instead of a traditional VIP area, the fest offers a VIT (Very Important Taco) experience.

The VIP experience allows pass holders access to an area from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. where some of Austin’s most popular taco purveyors hand out free tacos. TacoDeli, Fresa’s, Fork & Taco, El Chile, and Rosarito take turns feeding guests who also have access to a salsa bar, aguas frescas, paletas from Mom & Pops, and other complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. The VIP ticket also offers indoor restrooms, a private patio area (from 2 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and an air-conditioned area (though the fact that it is sheltered from the rain may be a bigger selling point tomorrow). Tickets for the VIT experience are $79.

In addition to the VP area, Pachanga also offers a traditional food court that features Mellizoz Tacos (makers of some of my favorite crispy tacos in town), and refreshing drinks from JuiceLand, and will also include Austin’s Pizza and Tom’s Tabooley, bacon-wrapped hot dogs from Mission Dogs, Mighty Bird, and all-natural homemade frozen Mom and Pops.
