Executive chef Allison Jenkins and upscale Provencal restaurant LaV have parted ways. Jenkins arrived in Austin three years ago from Ajax Tavern in Aspen and developed the menu at LaV starting with the Say LaV trailer in East Austin.
“Chef Allison has been an instrumental member of the team,” LaV management said via email. “As she embarks on her next chapter, we at laV wish her well and are grateful for both her time and talent.”
With Jenkins’ departure, executive pastry chef Janina O’Leary will oversee the kitchen while LaV looks to fill its vacant executive chef position. O’Leary, a 2013 James Beard semi-finalist, has experience on the savory side of the kitchen, having served as executive chef of the Village Tart in New York City, in addition to stints at New York City’s Del Posto and Per Se.
