Online reservation website OpenTable has compiled a list of 100 Best Restaurants for Foodies, and seven Austin restaurants made the cut.

Foreign & Domestic, Lenoir Restaurant, Odd Duck, The Peached Tortilla, Qui Restaurant, The Salty Sow, and Uchi all made the list that included restaurants from 22 states.  The list that was sourced from the opinions of more than five million reviews from OpenTable users.

“Whether they’re reviving forgotten cooking techniques, championing the latest sustainable ingredient, or creating unexpectedly delicious and unique flavor pairings, these restaurants are where you can truly wow the foodies in your life,” OpenTable Chief Dining Officer Caroline Potter said.

How did OpenTable come up with this vague list of foodie-friendly restaurants?

All restaurants with a minimum “overall” score and number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration.  Qualifying restaurants were then sorted according to a score calculated from each restaurant’s average rating in the “fit for foodies” category.
