Longtime downtown Italian fast-casual restaurant Cozzoli’s Pizza is closing its doors permanently on Saturday. Owner Moosa Meschin, who has owned and operated the restaurant at 704 Congress Ave. since 1981, is retiring and plans to move on to the next chapter of his life. He posted the following message on his website:
“It has been a lot of fun and an absolute pleasure serving you throughout the years. I would like to thank every one of you for being such loyal and good customers. I truly could not have made it this far without your support. You helped me make a life for my family in this country, and allowed me to support my boys through college. I will miss seeing you all and hearing your stories every day, and I wish you all happy and prosperous lives.”
We will update this space with more information on the next tenant as it becomes available.
