Refined Southern restaurant Olamaie welcomes renowned New York City chef Marcus Samuelsson on November 5 for a special brunch benefiting the Texas Book Festival. The three-course brunch will feature recipes from Samuelsson’s latest release, “The Red Rooster Cookbook,” named after his restaurant in Harlem. The book includes Southern and multi-cultural dishes. The James Beard award-winning chef, who was born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, will be in town for the Texas Book Festival.

“We are deeply honored and grateful to work with Marcus Samuelsson and Olamaie to present this unique benefit event during the 2016 Texas Book Festival Weekend,” said Lois Kim, Executive Director of the Texas Book Festival. “Supporters like Samuelsson and Olamaie elevate our programming by providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience that readers of Marcus’s cookbooks will never forget.”

Tickets are $125 per person for the 11 a.m. event and include brunch (with cocktails) and a signed copy of “The Red Rooster Cookbook.” Tickets are available on the Texas Book Festival’s website.
