The Trucklandia food festival is spinning off in hopes of crowning the best taco in Austin. The small field at this weekend’s first annual Austin Taco Throwdown includes Art of Tacos, Taco Baby and Gringa’s Tacos, which will put out the best they have to offer, with attendees and judges picking the winner.

The event takes place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Live Oak Brewing & Taproom. Beer, you say? Yes, some tickets include beer. The ticket packages run from $12.95 (which gets you three tacos) to $29.95 (which gets you three tacos, a flight of beer, a pint glass and a copy of “Trailer Food Diaries”). Ten percent of ticket sales go to Keep Austin Fed, an organization that gathers surplus food from restaurants and commercial kitchens and distributes it to area charities that serve hungry people in need.

For more information and tickets, head to the event’s official site.
