Many of the best chefs in Austin are coming together Sunday evening at 800 Congress Ave. to host Austin Chefs Night Out: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief. Following the format of a food festival evening event, the night will feature small plates, beer, wine and cocktails. The roster of chefs preparing dishes includes Shawn Cirkiel (Parkside Projects), Tyson Cole (Uchi/Uchiko), Todd Duplechan (Lenoir), Kevin Fink (Emmer & Rye), Michael Fojtasek (Olamaie), Bryce Gilmore (Odd Duck/Barley Swine), Yoshi Okai (Otoko), Rene Ortiz (Launderette), Zack Perez (Paperboy), Amanda Rockman (South Congress Hotel), Laura Sawicki (Launderette), Callie Speer (Holy Roller), Philip Speer (Bonhomie), Andrew Wiseheart (Contigo/Chicon), Nic Yanes (Juniper) and more. The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
Tickets, which are now on sale, are being offered at three donation levels ($75, $250, and $500), with 100% of ticket sales going to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, housed at the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
