There’s a new option for Mexican food in downtown Austin. Oscar “Polvo” Linares opened a the newest location of his eponymous restaurant at 310 Nueces St. in the 360 Condominium tower. The space previously housed Prelog’s and before that Garrido’s.

Polvos serves dinner nightly, with a menu that includes a roster of enchiladas, fajitas and seafood dishes for which the original Polvos on South First Street is known. Breakfast is currently only served on Sunday, with a wide range of breakfast tacos joining a menu that includes about a dozen plates like chilaquiles and migas.

The restaurant is currently open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Polvos serves breakfast from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, with dinner following, though Linares has said the restaurant will eventually serve lunch daily and possibly extend breakfast depending on demand.

Linares opened the original Polvos on South First Street in 1997.
