A rotisserie chicken and vegetables has a long been a staple for a quick, easy and relatively healthy and well-balanced meal from grocery stores. Now a restaurant in Southwest Austin is taking cues from the convenient concept. Winner Winner serves lunch and dinner, with a menu that includes sustainably sourced chickens from Cobb Creek Farm, roast lamb from Capra Lamb Coop, and a porchetta from Tender Belly. In addition to the main proteins, Winner Winner also serves sides like rotisserie potatoes; roasted carrots with pistachios, honey and sherry vinegar; and shaved Brussels sprouts with pecans and pecorino.
The cafe, which is open from Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., is located at 9300 US 290, about four miles past the Y in Oak Hill. Located in a converted railroad dining car, Winner Winner offers limited in-house seating, with most of its focus centered on the grab-and-go meal options and sandwiches.
